Subject Description
Quality systems are designed to ensure quality in complex processes through a standardized set of components. This presentation will explore the relevance of quality systems in transfusion medicine. At the conclusion of the session, the participant should be able to define the regulatory bodies and their scope in transfusion medicine, describe the make-up of a quality system, and identify how TSOs can use quality systems in their initiatives.
