Subject Description
This course will detail common transfusion-associated adverse events, their associated symptoms, and recommended mitigation and treatment techniques. At the conclusion of the session, the participant should be able to review the major categories of serious, transfusion-associated adverse events, distinguish between TACO and TRALI reactions, and describe the causes, presentation, and mitigation of septic transfusion reactions.
